Summary Information

This cost-benefit analysis was undertaken as part of an electronic toll and traffic management (ETTM) feasibility study conducted for Florida's Turnpike. Tamiami Plaza, the most heavily utilized of all the Turnpike mainline toll plazas, was selected for the study. For the 10 percent ETTM participation alternative, the benefit-to-cost (B/C) ratio was 2.03. For 30 percent ETTM, the B/C was 2.29, and for 50 percent ETTM, the B/C was 3.07.
