Eight-hundred drivers recently surveyed in Oakland County, Michigan saw the outlines of an even more congested future in their county, which already shares with a neighbor the strain of having the highest percentage of single-occupancy-vehicle use in the nation. Generally, the drivers said FAST-TRAC can help relieve some of the problems and definitely can contribute to safer left turns. 72 percent of the surveyed drivers said they are better off for having FAST-TRAC. Over 50 percent said they did not think it was possible to increase rush hour traffic on current roads by 20 percent.
