Summary Information

A contractor was awarded a $321,000 project to remove the old signs, and procure and install six replacement DMS, four on Idaho 21, one on the Banks-to-Lowman Highway, and one on Idaho 55. The DMS were replaced so that messages can be sent to the signs normally through remote activation from the State Communications Center, but can also be updated through handheld devices as they were previously. ITD utilizes these signs to warn drivers of road conditions and traffic impacts ahead, so they can adjust their routes if necessary.
